Hello Card

Hello!  This is Sukie and today I'm sharing this CAS card for my design team day.  This card came together very quickly with a few die cuts.
The patterned paper inspired the colors and rustic tones of my standard A2 sized card.  The scraps left over from other projects worked perfectly with the patterned design.
The Telephone is absolutely adorable with the coordinating speech bubble.  I used the Hello die cut for a larger sentiment.  The sweet tag is from the Love Tags Set, I added a strip of brown behind the heart cut outs.
Once I created the base of my card, the tag was offset to one side of my card.  I adhered the tag directly on top of the patterned paper.  I love the striking contrast of the colors.
The next step was to add the speech bubble with the sentiment onto my card base.  The rustic telephone was adhered in the center of the tag creating a "happy hello card."
As a finishing accent on my card, I added a small bow created with some Totally Natural Trendy Twine.
Here are the dies used on my card, available in the shop:

Miss to Mrs (Bridal Shower Card)

Hello Scrapping Cottage friends! Thanks for taking the time to stop and visit today. It's Mary Marsh here bringing you the Saturday edition of the Blog.

I mentioned last week that it's wedding season here in my town. Before the big day arrives for the bride and groom, first comes the bridal shower. They are always such exciting events to honor the bride.

Since I am invited to a couple of these showers, I thought I would start to create one of the cards to go along with my gift. So lets get started with some details on the dies I am showcasing today.

Step 1: This week I started my card by planning a layout for my card idea. I wanted a more elegant style card but nothing too fussy. This bride will have that elegance reflected in her wedding.
I then selected the dies that would fit what I had in mind. Since it's a bridal shower card, I chose the wedding gown die. And, then to make it all about love, I am using the love tags and sweet love borders dies.

The cardstock I chose is called blushing bride and I matched it up with some patterned paper of the same color. What an appropriate cardstock name for a bridal card.

Blushing Bride card base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Patterned paper layer: 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
I assembled these panels and then placed aside to complete my die cutting.

Step 2: I made all my cuts on this step. The bridal gown, hanger and bow is cut in a pearlized gold cardstock. The tag and borders are cut in the blushing bride cardstock. I am always so impressed with how smooth the CottageCutz dies cut cardstock.
Step 3: Started adhering the die cut pieces to the patterned panel layer. I didn't add the tag and dress at this point because I wanted to stamp the sentiment first. I wanted to make sure I had the correct placement after the heart borders were attached.
Step 4: I stamped my sentiment in chocolate chip ink. This one works so perfectly for my bridal shower theme.
Step 5: I attached the wedding gown and hanger to the tag with dimensional adhesive. Angled it just a bit, mainly for card interest. I let the left side of the bow drape down on the tag and secured it there. I liked the more free flow look.
Step 6: To finish off my card I scattered some of the pink hearts that were part of the border die. As I looked at the border, I thought it would add a bit more elegance by adding some pearls down each side. I like the look and since the pearls are small it's not too fussy.
Well that's it for me for this post. I hope I have given you an idea for a bridal shower card. There are 20 different wedding designs to spark your creativity. Check them out here.

CottageCutz Bunny TricZ-Gate Fold/Video

Hello everyone, Cheryl here with my TricZ-Gate Fold Card and Video on coloring CottageCutz Easter Basket Bunny!
I created this card using the Z-Fold and moving it to the bottom. Then I thought how fun would it be to have the z fold gates smaller on top. So I thought the Name TricZ-Gate Fold would be perfect for my card!(Tric is for Trick)
I really think these types of cards are super fun to make and perfect for adding photo's.

I used the DARLING CottageCutz Easter Basket Bunny, and Ruched white Crepe Paper to cut her out. Ive colored her with Distressed Inks and show how in my video below.

CottageCutz Dies I used:

I used the CottageCutz fancy Filigree Wreath for layering behind my Bunny. The Bunny is holding the Tulip from the CottageCutz die called Watering Can ,and Tulips, I thought the Tulips would be perfect fit for this DARLING bunny!!!
I also used leaves from these 2 CottageCutz Dies as well

I thought using a mixture of leaves from the 3 CottageCutz dies would be perfect spot for the bunny to sit :)

Hope everyone has a nice day!!

Flower Pot House Card with Pocket/& Video

Hello everyone today I'm sharing my card made using CottageCutz flower Pot House & Love Tags. I also have a Video showing how I made this Pocket using the CottageCutz dies.
Ok I just LOVE this CottageCutz Flower Pot House, its super SWEET and when I saw this, I knew what I wanted to do with it from the get go. There are other options as well. You can just cut one, and use scor-tape on the sides and bottom to create a pocket, or cut it out like i did and tape just the sides for a pocket. Perfect for scrapbooking and Mini albums.

I thought having this CottageCutz flower pot house pocket/fold down area would be perfect for writing, or sentiments, and you have the tag to write or stamp on as well!!

My card has a couple of different fold down and up area's I think they are fun to make, and will have some different folds coming soon too! Love doing different types of cards, and havent really focused on this since my accident, but now I will be doing more :) woohooo!!!! hehehehe

Dp is from My Little Shoebox, and I just love this stuff, its DARLING!!!
There is also room for writing under the flap where the flower pot is on. the picture below shows that area.

As you can see the CottageCutz Flower Pot House below there are options on what you can add to the House, or leave off. I Left off the door andwindow and focused on the flowers and grass and bunny. Super CUTE!!!!
